Pick A Last Name

I'm a writer. I currently am working on three book series that intertwines with each other. When I began my writer journey, the biggest issue I had was finding a last name for my characters. Names are important for a character. First name, last name(s), and sometimes one or more middle names are important to define a character's bloodline, culture, and so much more. One could argue the most important reason for a last name is how well is sounds with the first name and if it suits the character. Another important reason for names in general is how well the main character's name and the side characters' names sound with each other. Could you imagine Harry Potter having friends named anything other than Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley?
